The Public Sector Foresight Network (PSFN) began with a 2011 breakfast meeting in Vancouver, Canada. We are delighted to announce five years later that our July 2015 meeting will be held in San Francisco, California.
Members of the network will convene at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 24, before the kickoff of the 2015 meeting of the World Future Society that afternoon.
The World Future Society, now under the leadership of Dr. Amy Zalman, a strong supporter of advancing government foresight, is generously providing the venue for our event.
We are pleased to report that we are lining up an exciting program for this year’s meeting of the PSFN. This will include a discussion of complexity initiatives by Dr. Sheila Ronis of Walsh College and an inaugural member of our network; a presentation on how foresight has been established in an energy regulatory agency in Alberta, Canada by Mr. Richard Dixon; and panel on advances in foresight in four U.S. federal agencies and how they relate to the highly successful U.S. federal foresight network.
We would welcome other ideas for the day’s agenda. Please e-mail Dr. Clem Bezold at email@example.com and Nancy Donovan at firstname.lastname@example.org. For information on previous PSFN meetings and presentations, visit http://www.altfutures.org/public-sector-foresight-network.
To attend, please notify Nancy Donovan of your interest. Attendance at the 2015 PSFN meeting requires registration for the World Future Society conference.
